I have trained dogs for field sports from a very early age and competed in field trials since the early 1970s.  I have had considerable success with both Labradors and Golden Retrievers running under my Findpoint Affix. 

I qualified for the IGL Retriever Championship seven times and in 2014, I was awarded a Diploma of Merit.

As an A Panel of judges representing the Royal Kennel Club, a position I have held for some thirty years. Judging not only England, but Ireland and all over Europe. I have represented the International Gundog League as their President since 2016, a position I hold with personal honour. Indeed it was a true privilege to judge the 2025 igl retriever champion.

I feel privileged to be invited to judge the German Retriever Championship 2026, and look forward to meeting old friends and new.
